Webinar: Current Issues in Maritime Security and Strategy
Kiel, April-November 2020: In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the ISPK’s CMSS hosted twenty online events which offered the opportunity to stay in touch virtually and discuss maritime challenges from the Mediterranean and the Arctic to the Baltic, and from hospital ships and naval aircraft to unmanned systems.
Dreizack 2020
Rostock, 30.09.20 - 02.10.20: The fourth Dreizack conference, an academic conference for researchers in naval history and maritime strategy, was held in Rostock this fall. Since 2017, political scientists, historians, legal experts, underwater archeologists, and sociologists from Germany, Austria and Switzerland presented their research on maritime strategy and security.
Diversity: Rethinking Maritime Strategy and Maritime Security
Kiel, 20.02.20: The #MeerDiversität workshop brought together more than 40 participants from all walks of the maritime and naval world together to discuss creativity, courage, innovation and openness beyond gender roles when viewing, analyzing and implementing maritime ideas.
