On June 15, around 100 international experts on naval strategy and security, memebers from allied militaries and guests from politics and industry met in Kiel for Europe´s dedicated maritime security forum. This years topic was "The German Navy, its allies & the Zeitenwende in international affairs". The event was completed by a workshop with hand-selected experts on June 16 which was part of the new research project by ISPK and the ZMSBw.
The Baltic Sea Strategy Forum was finally back as an in-person event. With beautiful weather, many experts on maritime security gathered in Kopenhagen to not only enjoy the reception on top of the city-castle but to also discuss pressing topics in the Baltic area, especially focusing on the implications of Russias invasion of Ukraine and the new NATO member(s).
For the seventh year in a row, the network conference "Dreizack" for young scientists in the research field of Maritime Strategy and Security took place in March 2023. With its proximity to the Naval Memorial and the submarine U 995, the Hotel Admiral Scheer repeatedly proved to be the perfect venue.
